- PIZZA! — Well let me put it this way, most people are 60% water; I am probably 60% pizza. I could eat pizza every day. Literally EVERY DAY! I am a pizza purist, not pizza with all these crazy toppings like pineapple or fried eggs?! I am a pepperoni girl through and through. To me the best part of pizza is that there are DOZENS of places to order from. One of my favorite places locally is Rivers Edge Pizza, Pub & Grille. It’s an amazing little hole-in-the-wall restaurant, and the pizza there is delicious. The pepperoni has a nice little spice to it and the dough is deliciously fresh. One thing I love about pizza is the fact that you can order the same pizza from 5 different places and no two are going to taste the same. I am basically a pepperoni aficionado!

- Grilled Cheese — Basically if you haven’t caught on by now, my diet is that of a 6- or 7-year-old. I eat a grilled cheese about once a week. Recently I found that if I toast the bread just a smidge before I grill it, I get a ridiculously crispy, crunchy sandwich. Some people like their grilled cheese with tomato soup. Gross! I use ketchup, but not any ketchup. It HAS to be Heinz and it has to be cold! None of this grab a new bottle off the shelf and open it; it must be icy cold.
- Prairie Farms French Onion Chip Dip — This is one of those items from home (Tecumseh, MI) that my mom would bring me while we lived down South. She would pack a cooler full of ice and bring me 2-3 dip containers. I don’t know what it is about this specific dip but I just LOVE it! It is the perfect mix of creaminess and chunky bits. I could sit with a party-sized bag of Ruffles and a fresh dip and eat until the chips are gone. Trust me; I’ve done it!
- Chick-Fil-A Breakfast— Four words...Chick-n-Minis with hash browns! I was so hesitant to jump on the Chick-Fil-A bandwagon at first, but OH MY GOODNESS that was a huge mistake! Thanks to Amy (my old studio partner) I quickly became addicted. Not only do the mini biscuits have a delicious honey glaze on top, but the little chicken bites are so crispy. And don’t even get me started on my hash browns. They are basically crispy little bites of fried potato from sent straight from heaven. I probably add way too much salt, BUT now that we are in Michigan and the closest Chick-Fil-A is 45 minutes away I figure it’s okay!
- Publix Fried Chicken— This is basically the best fried chicken in the world! For those of you that don’t know, Publix is a grocery store found in the South. I discovered their fried chicken while at a friend’s house for Easter. She got a platter of their popcorn chicken and it was delicious! I knew I had to try the fried chicken after she told me how amazing it was. Let me tell you, it lives up to the hype! It’s crispy, juicy, and it’s got just the right amount of spice. If you go to Publix on a Sunday in the South after church, you will see a line of people waiting to get their fried chicken for supper. Sadly, I now only get it once a year when I take my trip back to Alabama, BUT I savor every crispy bite!
